The year I spent living and studying in Liverpool, United Kingdom was one of the most memorable years of my life. It was filled with personal and professional growth, fun moments with new friends, and renewed hope and ideas for a career and life in global health.

We shouldn’t feel guilty when we invest in ourselves, because that’s the only way we can give more, learn more, and love more.

May we learn from the lives of those who came before us, and realize that the best way we can honor their legacy is by leading a life they can be proud of.
With every ounce of pain, a ton of strength is built into me. I will not be afraid.
